In automotive manufacturing, rivets are a core solution for lightweight design and high strength. Self-Piercing Rivets (SPRs) are widely used for connecting body structural components (e.g., doors, chassis, and battery pack trays)—they directly penetrate multiple layers of metal sheets to form a mechanical interlock, eliminating the need for pre-drilling and increasing installation efficiency by over 30%. Blind rivets are used for fixing interior parts (e.g., seat frames, instrument panel brackets) and installing exterior parts (e.g., bumpers, headlights); their single-sided operation feature makes them suitable for narrow spaces. In new energy vehicles, titanium alloy or aluminum alloy rivets reduce body weight while meeting the corrosion resistance requirements of components like battery packs.
