In shipbuilding, rivets are a core solution for hull structure waterproofing and corrosion resistance. Stainless steel rivets are used for hull plate splicing and superstructure connection—their seawater corrosion resistance is far superior to ordinary steel nails, ensuring long-term use of ships in salt spray environments. Double-drum rivets are applied to deck equipment installation (e.g., ventilation duct brackets and electrical equipment fixing); their expanded structure can adapt to stress changes caused by ship sway. Moreover, in marine engineering such as offshore wind power platforms, high-strength rivets are used for steel structure joint connections, ensuring safety under extreme conditions like typhoons.
