In the railway transportation field, rivets are a key connection technology for rail vehicles and infrastructure. Ring-groove rivets have been designated by the former Ministry of Railways as the standard connection solution for railway freight cars—used for connecting carriage structural components, they have operated safely for over 20 years under complex conditions (vibration, heavy loads, extreme cold) with no loosening or failure records. In high-speed rail manufacturing, lightweight rivets are used for fixing carriage interior panels and sound insulation materials, improving ride comfort. For steel structure joints of railway bridges, high-strength rivets are adopted—their anti-loosening performance is superior to traditional bolts, reducing maintenance frequency.
